Zoo of Thessaloniki
Welcome to the zoo of Thessaloniki !
 The
zoo is located on "Kedrinos Lofos" in the area of "Chilia Dendra - suburban
forest of Thessaloniki" since September 1987.
The Museum of Natural History is established
into the zoo since Autumn of 1994 and House of Reptile since Autumn of
2000.
The visitor of the zoo may come in contact with our
National wild fauna and flora in their natural environment.
Wood and stone are the dominated materials used in
all facilities of the zoo and domicile of the animal which were designed by
imitating nature.
All interventions were and will be made in the area
by taking into account the environmental protection and the preservation
of the forest character.
Different mammals and fowls of Greek
fauna are hosted into well - organised places which fulfill the
conditions of a natural environment.
